It is estimated that in America, between 100,000 and 300,000 children a year disappear–most into sex trafficking. Where has the explosion in sexual slavery come from?
We know since the 1960’s and the era of “free love” that America has become more sexualized. Many used to think this was good. Today, we are looking at the results and very few of us are pleased.
Add to this, the proliferation of pornography in all forms of media; and we’ve seen increased rape, increased violence against women and children, increased trafficking, and especially the increase in domestic minor sex trafficking. Our children have become the pawns of our sexual society.
Human trafficking is estimated to be a $32 billion business. What used to be pimps and their “stables,” now is fast becoming the preserve of cartels and terrorists. Drugs, as the number one crime, is being out-paced by trafficking.
Put this with our broken families, our foster care system, and children being raised outside the home and you have a multi-layer stack of tender ready to burn. In fact, it is burning; and the end of the fuel is not in sight.
Since we have moved away from our Christian roots, from God’s Word on marriage and purity, we have seen an explosion in teen pregnancy, abortion, sexual diseases, domestic violence, child abuse and sexual slavery. Will we ever wake up?
