Pornography Harms Children–Join the White Ribbon Against Pornography Week. Stand up/be Vocal Against Porn

In a letter sent by a number of senators to the Atty. Gen. of the United States in April, 2011, they addressed the explosion of pornography in America and on the web and the need for strong enforcement of obscenity laws.

“today’s hard-core pornography is typified by extreme violence against women and … pornography consumption…contributes to sexual-harassment and sexual violence… Internet adult pornography normalizes sexual harm to children…. Simply put, we know more than ever how illegal adult obscenity contributes to violence against women, addiction, harm to children, and sex trafficking.”

In the United States, the average age that children are exposed to hardcore pornography is eleven!

Many men convicted of child pornography claim they first started with adult porn and deviated to child pornography because they found they needed harder, more deviant materials to find satisfaction.

A majority of child pornography offenders claim the Internet was where they first found child abuse images, and that it was initially by accident when viewing adult pornography.

Pornography creates lust, involves prostitution on the screen, often sex trafficking, violence and sometimes murder. Yet, many think there is no harm in viewing porn.

Satan is not content with a little sin. He is out to kill, steal, and destroy. Pornography addiction is the same as any other addictions. What we look at with our eyes matters. Make a covenant with your eyes. Stop thinking that you can dress provocatively, look at men or women lustfully, that you can view R-rated movies with sexual scenes and nude scenes without it having an effect upon you.

Begin to seek out God’s answers if you have trouble in this area.
