Writing for God, Fighting Human Trafficking

White Ribbon Against Pornography-Week of Oct 28th to Nov 4th

Human trafficking, date rape, child abuse, broken marriages–pornography has a place in it all. The FBI has said that child pornography sites are the fastest growing sites on the internet.

Over 12 million men, women and children labor in some form of slavery throughout the world.1 According to the UN, more than 2 million children in the world have been forced into sex slavery. 2

Sex trafficking and the culture of sex that pervades America and the world is unleashing a modern scourge in almost every country. Today, child sex trafficking is a major problem on Main Street, USA.

The State Department said that a “voracious demand” augments this crime of human degradation. 3  Millions of male “consumers” fuel the demand for sexual gratification that uses women and children as objects, something to be purchased and thrown away.

On the other end of this spectrum is God. His Word has not changed, his love has not changed. His admonition about sexual immorality rings clearer each day. “The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord…” 1Cor 6:13b  “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute?” 1Cor. 6:15  He tells us not to “incline {our} hearts to any evil thing, {nor} to practice deeds of wickedness with men who do iniquity…” Psm 141:4  He encourages us to turn from our wicked ways and turn back to Him.

Join in WRAP week by wearing a white ribbon from October 28th to November 4th.  Do a little research on pornography and share with it with those you know.  Let’s help stop the trafficking!
