Human Traffkcking again and again shows the worst in human degradation–about what one human can do to another.
In an article from Mail Online, St. Mary’s Convent of Mercy Midlands Director, Sam Monaghan, says “Too many children from all walks of life can so quickly be caught up in a world of drugs, violence and sex – this is a horrendous thing to be happening to young people and we must continue to work together to do all we can to end it.”
Sister Helen Ryan from the St. Mary’s Convent of Mercy describes some of the victims they have saved: One 18 year old girl was kept in a cage in a brothel, and a 13 year old boy was sold into the sex trade by his grandfather. Many come there from East Asia and Africa. The convent in the U.K. supports about 50 people a year.
