Regarding human trafficking and johns (those that pay for sex), I need to reiterate something from my last post. Why isn’t more done to arrest the johns?
These man pay for sex (sex with minors often, or sex with violence, or sex that ends in murder-yes, that is true) and yet it is often the victim (the girl or woman) who is arrested.
Why is it these men are allowed to get away with this? How many men are being arrested for having child pornography? And yet isn’t the actual acting out of what they’ve seen worse(which is what watching pornography causes in the long run)? Come on. Think of advertizing and the billions spent on it. Why do they spend billions if not because watching something over and over again causes you to buy it?)–so the actual acting out of pornography–paying to have sex with a minor, why isn’t this worse that watching it at home? Why aren’t we putting the men in jail? And doing all we can to stop the pornography.
If there was no demand, no one that would pay money for sex with young girls and girls would not be kidnapped, raped, beaten, and drugged so someone could have sex with them. This crime should not be happening!
California has a “john’s school” for first time offenders. The Bay Area needs something similar. We need legislation that will hold not just the traffickers, but also the John’s accountable. Come on, let’s do something! Put their picture in the papers, on TV, and arrest them. Let them go to jail like their victims do. Prostitution is not just a crime for the girls, for the women, but for the men, too!
